This money envelope was possibly produced between 1996 and 1998 for the double festive celebration of Chinese New Year and Hari Raya Aidilfitri. Iconic symbols of each festival were illustrated: the mystical monster lion, Nian for Chinese New Year and ketupat, wrapped rice cake in woven coconut leaves for Hari Raya Aidilfitri.
